Lidya Demilew

Co-President of the Yale University Chapter

Lidya Demilew is from Burke, Virginia. She is a junior at Yale majoring in Cognitive Science on the Artificial Intelligence Track. Lidya is interested in entrepreneurship and the intersection of business and technology in social enterprises. She has worked in fintech since she started college. This past summer, Lidya worked at Visa as a technical project manager in the Visa Token Services department. She spends her free time in fashion/modeling as well as reading and writing. She loves romance novels, classics and philosophy books. 



Samantha White

Co-President of the Yale University Chapter

Samantha White is from Chicago, Illinois. She is a junior at Yale University studying Ethics, Politics and Economics. In her past summers, Samantha participated in an externship partnered with Paragon One and PwC and did a study abroad program to attain her Spanish certification. Next summer, Samantha will be interning at JPMorgan Chase in the Securities Services division.


Samantha spends the majority of her free time listening to music, hanging out with friends, and taking up new crafts.

Abel Geleta

Co-Vice President of Education

Abel Geleta is a sophomore in Berkeley College from Arlington, Virginia. He is studying History of Science, Medicine and Public Health and pursuing certificates in Global Health and Statistics & Data Science. He will serve as the VP of Education for the inaugural BlackGen @ Yale board. This upcoming summer he will be a strategy analyst intern at Deloitte. 


In his free time, Abel enjoys playing basketball, watching and practicing mixed martial arts, running, and creating content for his mental health Instagram page (@ag.wellness). 




Abdoulie Sarr

Co-Vice President of Education

Co-VP of Education of the Yale University Chapter
Abdoulie Sarr is from Gambia, though he grew up in Paris, France. He is a senior at Yale University, double majoring in Chemical Engineering and Economics. During his junior summer, Abdoulie worked as a summer analyst at Goldman Sachs, in the Asset Management division. He will be returning to Goldman after graduation with the Fundamental Equities team.


Abdoulie is a passionate sports fan and particularly enjoys soccer and basketball. He also enjoys watching TV shows and playing FIFA in his free time.

Eula Doele

Vice President of Recruitment

Eula Doele is from Atlanta, GA. She is a sophomore at Yale University double majoring in Urban Studies and German. This upcoming summer, she will be working as an investment analyst at the Yale University Investments Office. Eula’s professional interests include fixed income and real estate investment management.


In her free time, Eula enjoys traveling, reading, and attending concerts. She is also passionate about creative writing and community service.

Sosna Biniam

Vice President of Communications

Sosna Biniam is a sophomore studying Economics. She is from Seattle, Washington but was born in Asmara, Eritrea. In her free time she like to play sports, do various arts and crafts, and watch commentaries. This summer, Sosna spent 4 weeks in New Haven and then 4 week in Spain studying Spanish. Sosna joined BlackGen Capital last spring and enjoyed being part of the community and learning so much. This year, she is excited to be more involved and help continue to build the foundation established last year (and also meet new people!).



Dona Ekwalla

Vice President of Public Relations

Dona is from Atlanta, Georgia. She is a Junior at Yale University studying Cognitive Science. This past summer, Dona interned at The Chernin Group as an investment analyst. 

In her free time, she enjoys pottery, crafting, and reading.

Emma Lazo

Vice President of Marketing

Emma Lazo is from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and originally from El Salvador. She is a sophomore at Yale University, double majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics and Spanish. This past summer, Emma conducted research and studied behavioral economics abroad in England at the University of Oxford. In the winter, she will participate in an externship partnered with Paragon One and PwC. Emma seeks to secure an internship in consulting this upcoming summer.

Mohamed Diallo

Vice President of Finance

Mohamed Diallo is from the Bronx, New York. He is a first-year at Yale University. He will be majoring in Computer Science and Economics. Last summer, Mohamed interned at One Equity Partners as a corporate researcher.


He is interested in all things tech, and in his free time, he enjoys hiking, volunteering, and watching/playing basketball and soccer.
