Salem Fitwi
Chief Executive Officer
Salem Fitwi will be BlackGen Capital's Chief Investment Officer for the 2025-2026 academic school year. He is currently a junior at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania studying Finance and Accounting. This past summer, he interned in TMT Investment Banking at Bank of America and next summer will be interning in Infrastructure Private Equity at Blackstone. Salem joined BlackGen at Penn during his freshman year and progressed as a Sector Lead and a VP of Education at Penn. Salem is excited to continue serving BlackGen Capital's mission of closing the access gap and providing underrepresented minorities with endless opportunities to succeed. BlackGen Capital paved the way for Salem and he is excited to help pave the way for the next generation of underrepresented leaders.
Mateo Rojas-Robles
Chief Operating Officer
Mateo Rojas-Rojas will be BlackGen Capital’s Chief Operating Officer for the 2025-2026 academic school year. He is currently a junior enrolled at Cornell University, getting his bachelor’s in Applied Economics and Management with a minor in Philosophy. This past summer, he worked at Santander in their corporate investment banking division on the global industrials group. Next summer, he plans on working at Evercore on their M&A team. He joined BlackGen Capital’s Cornell Chapter in the fall of 2023 as an Analyst and later went on to become New Member Educator for the chapter. He is deeply committed to BlackGen Capital’s mission and is excited to grow the organization’s national reach and impact.
Sanaalee Troupe
Chief Corporate Officer
Sanaalee Troupe will be BlackGen Capital’s Chief Corporate Officer for the 2025-2026 academic year. She is currently a student studying Political Science with minors in Film and Media Studies alongside Business Management. Sanaalee joined BlackGen Capital during her freshman year with the intent of being a part of a community of highly motivated students who were looking to challenge themselves and advance their careers in finance. Previously to her CCO role, Sanaalee served as Co-President of the Cornell Chapter, VP of Programming, and VP of Marketing. As CCO, Sanaalee looks forward to deepening BlackGen’s corporate sponsorships and creating even more pathways for our members to access meaningful internships and long-term opportunities as well as roles in finance.
Joseph Milfort II
Chief Investment Officer
Joseph Milfort II will serve as BlackGen Capital’s Chief Investment Officer for the 2025‑2026 academic year. He is a junior at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, studying Finance and AI for Business with a minor in Philosophy. This past summer, Joseph was a Private Equity Summer Analyst at TowerBrook Capital Partners’ Delta Impact Fund and an Investment Banking Analyst at OnetoOne Corporate Finance in Medellín, Colombia, South America the previous summer. Next summer, he will join Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunities group in New York as an intern. Joseph joined BlackGen during his freshman spring, rising from Analyst to Sector Lead and Vice President of Education. As CIO, Joseph aims to shrink the education gap for minorities and to widen pathways into buy‑side finance for underrepresented students across all chapters.
Jamal Matthew
Chief Human Resources Officer
Jamal Matthew will be BlackGen Capital’s Chief Human Resources Officer for the 2025-2026 academic year. He is currently a senior at Cornell University studying Information Science with a minor in Business Management. Jamal joined BlackGen Capital in the fall of 2022 during his freshman year with hopes of building stronger, like-minded individuals from similar backgrounds to his own. Previously, he served as VP of Finance and Programming for the Cornell Chapter, where he played a key role in strengthening the chapter’s operations and engagement. This past summer, Jamal interned at Morgan Stanley as an Equity Research Summer Analyst. As CHRO, he looks forward to advancing recruitment initiatives across chapters and fostering an inclusive and dynamic environment that empowers members to achieve their personal and professional goals.
