Francis is a junior majoring in Economics with a concentration in Computer Science. He joined Blackgen in Spring 2022. Francis first worked in finance his Freshman summer for Pura Vida, after which he worked at TD Cowen his sophomore summer and now works for Aone Partners. This summer he will be an Investment Banking summer analyst at Evercore. Outside of school, he enjoys mentorship, specifically to take an active role in making sure that those around him are equipped to find success in their areas of interest.

Jizal Aboneaaj grew up between Atlanta and Palestine. She is a junior at Barnard majoring in Economics and Psychology. This summer, she was in the Girls Who Invest Summer Intensive Program and after a month at Wharton, she interned on MacArthur Foundation’s Real Assets team. Jizal enjoyed working out and listening to music during her free time.

Gannon Peebles is from Fresno, California. He is a sophomore in Columbia College, majoring in Mathematics-Statistics with a concentration in Computer Science. For his freshman summer, he interned at Sumeru Equity Partners, a B2B SaaS growth equity firm. During his free time, Gannon enjoys walking through Central Park, going to concerts, and trying new desserts.

Vice President of Communications

Madison Garrett is from Brooklyn, New York. She is now a sophomore in Columbia College. As a political science major, Madison is on a pre-law track with interests in white-collar crime, contractual law, and criminal justice. She serves as the Founder and President of The Black Pre-Law Society on campus and is in the tenth month of her internship for The NYC Mayor’s Office.

Jasmine Bose Partridge is a junior at Barnard majoring in Economics. This summer, she interned at Morgan Stanley in the Institutional Equity Division. Outside of BlackGen, Jasmine is also a member of the Columbia University Fashion Society, and in her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and trying new restaurants in the city.

Samantha Gomez is from Ridgefield, New Jersey. She is a sophomore at Columbia University double-majoring in Financial Economics and Political Science, and joined BlackGen in Fall 2023. This summer, she will be interning at Ramirez Asset Management. Outside of Columbia, Samantha enjoys skiing, going to dinner with friends, and travelling.

Rami began working in Finance coming out of high school where he interned at Voya Financial and Leaf Group; this summer he’ll be an investment banking summer analyst in the city.
